My First Camping Trip

A couple of weeks ago, I went on my very first camping trip. We were on a private campsite on the shore of a small lake. It was close to hiking trails and covered with trees. I had a blast. After a long afternoon hike, I took a nice long nap to recoup my energy. This was followed up by a special dinner. I spent the evening hanging out in the tent while my human chilled out by the firepit. When it was time to sleep, I curled up next to my best friend and we slept all the way until the sun came up. It was a great time!

Getting used to tents

Several weeks before the trip, I started I spent some time getting used to tents. My human set the tent up indoors and placed treats inside to encourage me to go in and sniff around. After a day or two, I started to go in all by myself to rest and take naps. Once I was comfortable, my human would zip up the tent to show me what it would be like if we were out camping. By the time we took our trip, I was a pro at sleeping in a tent. Training really help!
